2007 Mount St. Joseph Academy Annual Report

This year’s annual report to our donors, teachers, staff, parents, students, and the Diocese includes both the financial information you would expect to see but also includes a comprehensive list of alumni and donors of all kinds and sizes of contributions. As you might imagine, with as many active and living alumni as Mount St. Joseph Academy has, it is quite a task to faithfully represent each and every one. We have done our best to capture as much information as we could accurately record and, if we have inadvertently omitted an alumnus or donor, you are encourage to contact our development office and offer corrected or missing information.

Five-year Strategic Plan For Mount St. Joseph Academy

Trustees, Parents, Alumni and Friends

It is a great honor and privilege to present the work of the Strategic Planning Committee to the Mount Saint Joseph Academy community. This five-year strategic plan is designed to sustain and grow this fine educational institution. The Academy would like to acknowledge the dedication and efforts of the Strategic Planning Committee and thank each member, including community members Mike McCarthy, Pam Rehlen, Bill Ackerman, Dan Keith, Chip Forte, Eileen Bride, and Dom Serino; administrators Principal Paolo Zancanaro and Development Director Kathy Bove; faculty members Bernadette Fuller and Anthony Merchand.

We are proud to offer the past, present and future beneficiaries of MSJ this plan. In the Committees work they were asked to address goals, strategies, tactics and time frames; to offer a five-year pro forma operating budget with assumptions including a capital plan and, lastly, a development plan for the future of the school.

The Committee feels that this plan has captured the vision for success and will serve as a blueprint to guide Mount St. Joseph for the next five years and generations to come. As is always the case in developing a strategic plan, difficult choices had to be made and some areas still need further development. This is particularly applicable to the capital and development plans which have not yet been developed. We appreciate the fact that both the school board and the faculty have taken the time to provide input in the plan and we have attempted to incorporate that input where possible.
